Season 2025 — Impulses
Welcome to our sixth concert season!
This season's theme is Impulses — through which we look at the composers' ability to take us on musical journeys with their artistry. Consciously or unconsciously, they use their impulses to bring us into a time capsule, a mood, or a sense of excitement, or perhaps they show us a completely new artistic direction — which also marks a break with history.
2025 is also full of new initiatives, with the Debut Series and our first complete annual season in Bergen among the highlights.
We have invited a number of exciting musical figures to curate specific programs throughout the year. Maurice Ravel's 150th anniversary has its obvious place, with none other than pianist Håkon Austbø as Guest Curator. Other profiles include the Belgian clarinetist Pierre Xhonneux and Canadian Rilian Trio — an exciting young piano trio that convey the music with rare passion and great personality. TrondheimSolistene are in place as our Resident Ensemble this season as well — and show us their phenomenal versatility together with soloists Gjermund Larsen and Ola Kvernberg.
Take a look at the programme overview below — we're sure you'll find something you like.
