— Dangerously good folk music.
Finally, Valkyrie Allstars is back on Ramme When the band visited us in the summer of 2024, it was one of the most unique experiences of the season. They play in harmony with both the audience and the surroundings, giving us the feeling that what is happening right now is happening only this once .
With them they have their seventh album, Venter på noken, som venter på noken — nine songs that continue Valkyrien's very own fusion of tradition and pop. The reception was rarely unanimous: Tore Renberg called it "a masterpiece" in Klassekampen, while Aftenposten landed on a five and "folk music for the future". DN summed it up more simply — dangerously good folk music.
Tuva Syvertsen vocals & fiddle
Erik Sollid vocals, fiddle & mandolin
Magnus Larsen Jr. double bass
Martin Langlie drums
Duration approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. The concert has no intermission.

Valkyrien released their seventh album last year: Venter på nogen, som venter på nogen . This follows the critically acclaimed album Slutte & bynne from 2020. The band won the Spellemannprisen in the Vise category, but looks suspiciously like pop music based in folk music.
The band has teamed up with the Swedish folk music label Supertraditional and serves listeners nine well-rounded songs about life and living.
Waiting for someone, waiting for someone is a continuation of Valkyrien's unique fusion of traditional and pop music. A formula that has sent them so many times across Norway that it's a wonder there are still trees left in the forest. Erik has become even better at guitar, Martin has learned to play the banjo, Magnus has glued the bass and Tuva has filled the pen.
Valkyrien Allstars is known as one of the country's best live bands, and has been at the forefront of the development of arranged folk music since their first release in 2007. The band has gone in new directions with each release, and is considered pioneers of new folk music with its own unique expression.
The band consists of Tuva Syvertsen , Magnus Larsen Jr , Erik Sollid and Martin Langlie . Together they create and arrange songs that remain eternal love and mysteries that are never solved. Both on record and live, energy, passion and surprising twists and turns abound.
We wish you an enjoyable, unique concert experience with us. Welcome!
