Bugge Wesseltoft: It's snowing on my piano

  • Rammerommet, Ramme Rammeveien 90 1545 Hvitsten Norway (map)

— A Christmas concert with a true calm.

For the third year in a row, Bugge Wesseltoft will be warming up for the Christmas holidays with us at Ramme . For almost 30 years, the jazz album It's snowing on my piano has had a very special place in thousands of homes — where Wesseltoft invites us into a world of sound where time stands still. With improvised folk tunes and traditional Christmas carols performed in a way that only Wesseltoft can, we let the Christmas spirit sink in. Welcome!

  • If there is one Norwegian Christmas album that has become part of eternity, it is this one. Wesseltoft himself writes:

"It's snowing on my piano was created out of a desire for peace and quiet at Christmas, and a break from stress, gift-giving hysteria and having to be so incredibly happy all the time. As a young man, I worked in an emergency room at a psychiatric hospital and it was a shock for me to discover that Christmas is also a time for depression, loneliness and domestic violence. When a German record company asked me to make a solo piano record of Christmas carols, I had strong doubts, but in the end I chose to record it on the condition that I could do it in my own way. Loving each other and having time for each other is the most important thing we can do at Christmas."

We wish you an enjoyable, unique concert experience with us. Welcome!
