— Poetry and double bass under the trees.
Few concerts capture our seasonal theme Time as precisely as this one. Author Lars Saabye Christensen and bassist and vocalist Steinar Raknes have written songs about the time we live in, the time we have — and the time the world has left. With a love of Americana, blues, and Norwegian song tradition, they have created something completely unique, with poetry and soundscapes under one roof.
Klassekampen calls the album "a well-founded success", while Romsdals Budstikke describes Saabye Christensen's lyrics as "gold for the ears". On stage we meet an acoustic star team: Knut Reiersrud is back on Ramme after last year's success, together with Andreas Utnem and Per Oddvar Johansen . For Saabye Christensen this will be his very first reading in Havlystparken. Secure your ticket now!

Lars Saabye Christensen is one of Norway's most popular authors of his generation, known for novels such as Beatles and Halvbroren . He has repeatedly sought music over the years, and is an experienced communicator of his own poems from the sidelines. The newspaper Nordlys described the meeting between Saabye Christensen and Raknes as an evening marked by "subtle words about time and wild double bass strings."
Steinar Raknes is one of the country's most renowned bassists and has been active on the Norwegian and international jazz scene since the 1990s. He has collaborated with greats such as Chick Corea and domestic stars such as Tord Gustavsen and Ola Kvernberg. He is also a songwriter and vocalist in the project Stillhouse , and draws inspiration from both African kora tradition and American fingerstyle playing in his characteristic expression.
Andreas Utnem is a jazz musician, composer and arranger whose work ranges from theatre and film to the church. He is currently the cantor and musical director at Tøyenkirka in Oslo, and he has written liturgical music and hymns in collaboration with, among others, Edvard Hoem and Jon Fosse.
Knut Reiersrud is one of Norway's leading blues guitarists and a frequent collaborator across genres. He has released a long list of albums under his own name, contributed to around three hundred recordings and won three Spellemann awards. He now returns to Ramme after last year's successful performance in Havlystparken with Solveig Slettahjell & In the Country.
Per Oddvar Johansen is a drummer with a central place in recent Norwegian jazz, known from, among others, Trondheim Kunstorkester and The Source as well as collaborations with Trygve Seim and Christian Wallumrød. He has been a regular part of Raknes' band Stillhouse for many years.
