Ytre Suløens Jazz Ensemble & Tricia Boutté

  • Havlysttheateret, Ramme Rammeveien 90 1545 Hvitsten Norway (map)

— Louis Armstrong's spirit in Havlystparken.

With over 30 recordings and numerous tours at home and abroad, Ytre Suløens Jass-ensemble has influenced Norwegian jazz life for decades. In the spirit of Louis Armstrong, they create a musical energy that is contagious to the audience, and we are proud that they are finally coming to Havlystparken to share their joy of playing with us.

Despite their roots in early jazz music from New Orleans, they have nevertheless created their own unique style. With vocalist Tricia “Teedy” Boutté at the forefront together with pianist Morten Gunnar Larsen , among others, the repertoire is carefully composed — and we dare to promise that the atmosphere will reach all the way to the canvas roof. Welcome to a jazz evening at Ramme !

  • Ytre Suløens Jazzensemble was founded in Langevåg in 1973 by banjoist and visual artist Einar Aarø. The band has toured extensively for the past 50 years, performing numerous concerts in Norway, but also in Europe, the USA, Asia and Africa. They have made a number of recordings, and have strong connections to New Orleans and the free playing style inspired by jazz master Louis Armstrong.

Welcome to a unique musical experience!
